All pool members and guests shall adhere to the following rules:
- All members and guests shall obey the instructions from lifeguards, staff or board members.
- Children under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- No running on the pool deck.
- Pushing, shoving, horseplay, and other rough-housing or inappropriate behavior is not permitted.
- No diving into the shallow areas of the pool.
- Do not hang on lane lines, ropes, or rails.
- Jump or dive straight forward when using the diving board and do not bounce more than one time.
- The swim teams starting blocks may not be used by the members. They are for the swim team's use only during swim practice and swim meets.
- Individuals who cannot swim shall only swim in the shallow area of the pool.
- Flotation devices are not permitted in the deep end of the pool.
- Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers.
- Proper swim attire shall be worn in the pool. Street clothes including cut offs shorts and denim shorts are not permitted to be worn in the pool. Thong bottoms may not be worn on the grounds at any time.
- Rafts, inner tubes and soft balls ("nerf" balls) are allowed when the pool is not crowded. The manager on duty will make the determination of when these items are allowed/not allowed in the pool.
- The use of squirt guns is prohibited.
- Spitting, spouting water, blowing the nose, or discharging bodily waste in the pool is prohibited.
- Do not use goggles while using the slide or diving board.
- Do not distract the lifeguards while they are on duty.
- Use of the wading (baby) pool shall be by children aged 6 and under. All children in the wading pool shall have parental supervision.
- The pool will be closed for a minimum of 30 minutes in cases of bad weather (thunder, lightning strikes, tornado warnings, etc.).
- No smoking or vaping anywhere on the pool property. We are a smoke free facility.
- No foul language.
- No littering or vandalism of pool property.
- No food fights or inappropriate use of condiments.
- Glass, sharp objects, or any other items which might cause injury or accidents shall not be allowed in the pool or the grounds.
- No climbing over or under the fence.
- No jumping off the top of the playground equipment.
- Bullying is not permitted at Crestwood Pool. Bullying is defined as unwarranted, aggressive behavior that involves a real or perceived power of imbalance and includes making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally and excluding someone from a group on purpose.
- No alcohol or drugs are allowed on the pool grounds.
- No charcoal grills on the pool grounds.
Failure to follow the rules may result in the offender being "benched" by the lifeguard or asked to leave the pool for the day. Multiple violations of the pool rules may result in the revocation of the pool membership.
